Overall care of the patient from admission to discharge including assignment and monitoring of vitals giving needed hygiene care and other supportive cares. ➢ Preparing and assisting patients for PV examination and collection of specimens. ➢ Assisting antenatal mother. ➢ Assisting during labour, normal vaginal delivery, vacuum delivery, forceps delivery. ➢ Attending post-natal mothers. ➢ Caring of premature babies and newborn babies. ➢ Intravenous cannulations, First Aid, Emergency care. ➢ Administration of medication through various routes. ➢ Giving medical and surgical care of the patients. ➢ Bed making use of comfort devices, care of unconscious patients; maintain records and reports, assess implement and evaluating nursing care. ➢ Assist the doctor in taking rounds, in diagnostic and curative procedure. ➢ Provide health education accordingly and support the patients psychologically. ➢ Collecting blood samples and specimen for investigation. Assisting for procedure like central line insertion, pleural tapping and renal biopsy etc. ➢ Assisting for lumber puncture, endotracheal tube intubation of neonates. ➢ Resuscitation of new born. ➢ Oxygen therapy, Vital monitoring & Insertion of cannula. ➢ Assisting of arterial line & central line. ➢ Monitoring ECG, Resuscitation, Catheterization, Dressing, Ryle’s tube insertion & Suturing.
